Energy Utility investing in Wind power

Well, as I frequently check out the news from the area in which I grew up (Iowa), I come across an article about the local power company investing in wind power. Considering I have a bit of inside information into MidAmerican Energy due to the fact I have family working at the Council Bluffs coal burning powerplant, I was pleasantly surprised that some parts of the country aren't total idiots when it comes to allowing wind generators. Wake up people, wind is free and the wind generators pay for themselves relatively shortly, especially if the local power utility is the investor. Check out the article from my original hometown area and I'd suggest eastern NC stop worrying about how they look and embrace renewable energy. Here's the link:
