Adams-Walton
Emily Meredith Adams of Swansboro and Vernon Ashley Walton of Emerald Isle were married at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 13, 2008, at the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City. The Rev. William Cox performed the ceremony.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Robert and Angela Adams of Cove City. She is the granddaughter of Bill and Bertha Adams of Trenton, and the late Archie and Carolyn Davis, who lived in Cove City.
A graduate of North Carolina State University, she is an agricultural extension agent with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Center.
The groom is the son of Lewis Walton of Jacksonville and Vicki Rogers of Prescott, Ariz. He is the grandson of Edna Murphy of Jacksonville.
Also an NCSU graduate, he is construction manager with Naval Facilities Engineering Command.
Amy Bissinger of Clayton was the matron of honor. The groom's brother, Alex Alvarex of Atlanta, was the best man.
Following a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., and Asheville, the couple is living in Swansboro.
