Ballance-Baker

Jennifer Ann Ballance and Jason Dean Baker, both of Pink Hill, were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 7, 2009, at Pink Hill United Methodist Church in Pink Hill. The Rev. Linda Grider officiated the ceremony.

Escorted and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Jerry Ballance of Goldsboro and Cindy Taylor of La Grange. She is the granddaughter of Estelle Ballance of Goldsboro and the late Lack Ballance; and Esther Sasser of Princeton and the late Dewey Dudley.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Rosewood High School. She received a nursing degree in 2007 from Lenoir Community College, and is a registered nurse at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

The groom is the son of Joe and Charlotte Baker of Pink Hill. He is the grandson of the late Louise and Reginald Quinn, who lived in Potters Hill.

A 2001 graduate of East Duplin High School and a 2003 graduate of James Sprunt Community College, he is in construction with Baker’s Construction.

Matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Sarah Collins of Goldsboro.

Best man was the groom’s brother, Josh Baker of Pink Hill.

Following a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple resides in Pink Hill.
