Christie Armstrong and Anthony Arrington, both of Vanceboro, were united in marriage on Oct. 17, 2009, at Holly Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Marty Warren and the Rev. Mike Scott officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Armstrong of Vanceboro.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Arrington of Vanceboro and the grandson of Myrtle Summrell of Vanceboro.
The bride was given in marriage by her sons, Joseph and Hunter.
Nuptial music was provided by vocalists Betsy and Phillip McCandless and pianist Sandra McCandless.
The matron of honor was Jennifer Lewis of Vanceboro.
Bridesmaids were Nichole Dixon, Susan French, Candace Morris and Lesli Walls.
Brenda Laughinghouse was the flower girl.
Best man was Raymond Arrington Jr. of Vanceboro, father of the groom.
Groomsmen were Scott Gladson, Cliffie Holland, Stacey Lewis and Dennis Smith, all of Vanceboro.
Ushers were Dennis Dixon and Chris Walls, both of Vanceboro.
Assisting with the wedding were Rhonda Ipock, director; Ashley Mills, assistant director; Angela Roach, photographer; and Carleen Morris, guestbook and programs.
A reception, hosted by the families of Holly Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church, was held at Juniper Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church.
Assisting with the reception were the women of Holly Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Young Women’s Group.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The bride graduated from West Craven High School and Craven Community College. She is employed by Jennifer & Company as a stylist.
The bridegroom graduated from West Craven High School and Craven Community College. He is employed by New Bern Fire and Rescue as a firefighter.
They plan to live in Vanceboro.
