Breanna Lee Nixon of New Bern and Arthur Batisla-Ong Romans of Havelock were united in marriage Oct. 3, 2008, at Fort Macon with Rev. Tammie Levron officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Pat Nixon and the granddaughter of Pat Wessels, all of New Bern.

The bridegroom is the son of Keith and Lucy Romans of Havelock.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Brittany Nixon of New Bern, sister of the bride.

Destiny and Jasmine Paynter were the flower girls.

Best man was Kito Romans of Greenville, brother of the groom.

Ian Nixon was the ringbearer.

Assisting with the wedding were Jason and Brandy Paynter.

A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, was held at their home.

Assisting with the reception were Elizabeth Gonzalez and Michelle Sirmas.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The bride attends Craven Community College and is employed by Lacy and Kellis Law Office as an office assistant.

The bridegroom graduated from Havelock High School and is employed by Wild Building Contractors as a heavy equipment operator.

They plan to live in New Bern.
