Brooks-Hawver
Stephanie Dawn Brooks of Denton, Texas, and Jason Peter Hawver of McKinney, Texas, were married at 4 p.m. March 29, 2008, at the Hampton Inn in Kinston. Bishop Rich Jarman officiated the ceremony.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her family, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David L. Mooring of Kinston and Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Brooks of Raleigh.
She is the granddaughter of the late Ernest and Pauline Moody, who lived in Pink Hill, and Lester and Roberta Brooks of Salt Lake City.
The groom is the son of Elizabeth Hawver of Kingwood, Texas. He is the grandson of Jodwiga Jerosz of Dallas, and the late Walter Jerosz.
Following a wedding trip to Washington D.C., the couple resides in Denton, Texas.
The bride wore a long-sleeved white gown with a split A-line skirt, featuring a lace overlay and a chapel-length train. She wore a mantilla veil and held white calla lilies with cream roses.
Kimberly Fulcher of Holly Springs, the bride's cousin, was matron of honor.
Jennifer Spence of Kinston, the bride's cousin, was maid of honor.
Elizabeth Moody of Deep Run, the bride's cousin, was the bridesmaid.
Flower girl was Kellyn Fulcher of Holly Springs, the bride's cousin.
Bryan Stilz of Denton, Texas, and John Elder of Plano, Texas, were the best men.
Ushers were Robert L. Brooks and Alex Brooks, the bride's brothers.
Ring bearer was Landon Mooring of Kinston, the bride's cousin.
Music was provided by Chase Given.
Wedding director was Ann Brinson, and the register attendant was Sarah Elder.
Reception/Parties
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was given by family, friends and the church family at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Reception director was Nyra Moody.
Reception servers were Rebecca Jones and Kinston First Ward Relief Society Sisters. Bubble attendants were Seth and Meghan Moody, the bride's cousins.
On Dec. 29, a wedding shower was given by family and friends at the home of Brenda and Jennifer Spence.
On March 28, a rehearsal dinner was given by family and friends at the home of Brenda and Jennifer Spence.
On March 29, a bridesmaids' brunch was held at the Broken Eagle Eatery in Kinston.
On March 29, a groom's luncheon was held at Ham's in Kinston.
