Briley-Fox
Ashley Elizabeth Briley and Christopher Maurice Fox, both of Wilmington, were married at 5 p.m. April 26, 2008, at the Country Club of the Crystal Coast at Pine Knoll Shores. Charles Curtis officiated the ceremony.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Briley Jr. of Atlantic Beach, formerly of Kinston. She is the granddaughter of Thomas E. Briley Sr. of Kinston.
The bride is a graduate of the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree and of East Carolina University with a master's degree in business administration.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Barry Fox of Asheville.
He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Wilmington.
The bride wore a strapless A-line gown with pick-up skirt that flowed into a chapel-length train. Her finger-length veil, accented with crystals, flowed from a crystal tiara. She held a hand-tied bouquet of French tulips.
Caroline Lambert of Wilmington was matron of honor. Flower girl was Morgan Rae Burroughs of Chocowinity, the bride's neice.
Sean Dooley of Wilmington was the best man.
The wedding was directed by Roger Carter. Music was provided by a string quartet.
Program attendants were Caroline Roberts of La Grange and Margaret Sparrow of Winterville.
Reception/Parties
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was given by the bride's parents at the Country Club of the Crystal Coast in Pine Knoll Shores. Music was provided by the Sammy O'Bannion Band.
On April 5, a pig picking was given at Blair Farms Clubhouse in Morehead City by Mr. and Mrs. Marty Beam, Dr. and Mrs. Everett Cameron, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Manooc, Annette Faulkner, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Roberts and Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Stiehl.
On April 25, a bridal luncheon was given in Atlantic Beach by Janet Roberts and Margaret Sparrow. A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents at The Watermark Restaurant in Atlantic Beach.
