Smith-Burrus
Vivian Smith of Pike-ville and Johnny Burrus of Snow Hill were married at 4 p.m. April 5, 2008, at the groom's childhood home in Ocracoke. Magistrate Lonnie Ray Burrus, the groom's brother, officiated the ceremony.
Escorted by her granddaughter, Kaylee Tucker, the bride is the daughter of Shirley Smith of Pikeville and the late James "Sardine" Smith.
The bride is employed as a recreation technician at RHA Howell's Care Center Bear Creek in La Grange.
The groom is the son of Cora Burrus of Hookerton and the late Alonzo O. Burrus Jr.
The groom is employed as an inspector at the Division of Motor Vehicles in Kinston.
Following a wedding trip to the Outer Banks, the couple resides in Snow Hill.
Katelynn Jones of Walsonburg was maid of honor.
Chris Noble of Snow Hill was best man.
