Ellis-Puryear

Amber Ellis of Vanceboro and Jacob Puryear of Ernul were united in marriage on Oct. 24, 2009, at Spring Hope FWB Church with the Rev. Doug Randall officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Melissa Hribovsek and Clay Ellis, both of Vanceboro and the granddaughter of Mavis Ellis of Vanceboro, Jean Barton of Washington, N.C., and John and Betty Hribovsek of Missouri.

The bridegroom is the son of Mary Ann Puryear of Ernul.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Clay Ellis.

Nuptial music was provided by pianist Rick Smith.

Maid of honor was Ashley White of Vanceboro.

Bridesmaids were Jonna Gowing of Ernul, sister of the groom, Jessica Fillingame, Hailee Vick and Madison Keech, all of Vanceboro.

Layla Tomas was the flower girl.

Best man was Trey Taylor of Bridgeton.

Groomsmen were Michael Parrish of Vanceboro and Michael Creider Sr. of Ernul.

Ushers were Clifton Lewis and Brandon Ellis, both of Vanceboro and brothers of the bride.

Assisting with the wedding were Teresa Morris, director, and Joni Fillingame, greeter.

A reception, hosted by Wanda Nobles and the family of the bride, was held at Spring Hope FWB Church.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The bride graduated from West Craven High School and is employed by Eastern Dermatology.

The bridegroom graduated from West Craven High School and is employed by W.M. Schlosser.

They plan to live in Ernul.
