Holly Lynn Witter of Houston, Texas, and Edmund Terrell Knott of San Antonio, Texas, were united in marriage on July 17, 2010, at First Methodist Church of Houston with the Rev. C. King Cole officiating and the Rt. Rev. Sandy Greene celebrating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Gene Witter of Houston, Texas, and the granddaughter of Hilda Webber of Houston, Texas, and the late Robert Webber and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvey E. Witter.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Tayloe Knott of New Bern and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Edward Knott and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Franklin Terrell.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Nuptial music was provided by organist Dr. Elaine Walters.
The matron of honor was Tiffany Witter Shulse of Houston, Texas, sister of the bride.
Attendants were Jennifer Henry, Jill Ann Jarrell, Susan Kahill, Carol Krippel, Carolyn Sparkes, and Lisa Swank, all of Houston, Texas.
Kathryn Shulse, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.
Best man was Lee Edward Knott III of New Bern, brother of the groom.
Assisting with the wedding were scripture readers Laura Kaupp, Jim Nylund and Tom Huseby.
A reception was held at La Colombe D’or.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands.
The bride graduated from the University of Texas and is employed by Amegy Bank.
The bridegroom graduated from Elon University and Denver Seminary and is employed by Methodist Healthcare Systems of San Antonio, Texas.
They plan to live in San Antonio, Texas.
