Search on for missing Jacksonville man

Fayetteville police are searching for a Jacksonville man missing since January, according to a news release issued this week by the department.

Officials said Anthony Carrol Hayes, 52, was last seen Jan. 18 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville. Investigators with the Fayetteville Police Department said Hayes was released after his appointment and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. Investigators say all leads have been exhausted so the police department is asking the public for help.

Hayes suffers from bipolar disorder and has family in the Jacksonville, Topsail Beach and Durham areas, officials said.

Anyone with information about Hayes’ whereabouts should call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-433-TIPS (8477).
