Aviation foundation sets history program

The Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation has scheduled a program on the Marine Corps aviation history for Jan. 27 at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center.

This year’s event will celebrate 100 years of Marine Corps aviation and begins at 5:30 p.m.

Tom Braaten, retired Marine major general, will serve as master of ceremonies. The event will include narrated videos, photos and memorabilia that highlight Marine Corps avaiation through the years.

Guest speaker will be Lt. Gen. Terry Robling, deputy commandant for aviation, who will discuss the past, present and future of Marine aviation.

Dinner is included as is a special door prize.

Tickets are $35 each or $250 for a table of eight. Sponsorships are available from $250 to $5,000.
