Hardison-McArthur

Michelle LeAnne Hardison of La Grange and Timothy Henry McArthur of Mount Olive were married at 7 p.m. Aug. 8, 2008, at Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church in La Grange. The Rev. Wayne Brown officiated the ceremony.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Mike Hardison of Cove City and Melanie Hardison of La Grange. She is the granddaughter of Jennie Herring of La Grange and the late James E. Herring Sr.

A 2007 graduate of North Lenoir High School, the bride is attending the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, majoring in elementary education.

The groom is the son of Kimberly McArthur of Goldsboro and the late Henry McArthur, who lived in Mount Olive. He is the grandson of Elsie Whitman of Mount Olive, Norma Benson of Dudley and the late Laney Benson.

A 2005 graduate of Southern Wayne High School, the groom is a senior in college, majoring in chemical engineering.

Following a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Greensboro.

The bride wore a strapless white satin pick-up ball gown with a sash that draped on the voluminous skirt. She wore a comb with clusters of white flowers and tulle, and carried a hand tied bouquet of calla lilies with a miniature Bible attached.

The maid of honor was Katie Timmins Stanley of Kinston. Bridesmaids were Leah Lassiter and Rachel Miller, both of Kinston; Sarah Shoemaker of Greensboro; and sister of the groom, Hanna McArthur of Goldsboro.

The flower girl was Jenna Thigpen of La Grange.

Michael Hudson of Utah was the best man. Groomsmen were Drew Benson of South Carolina, cousin of the groom; Richard Hartley Jr., Andy Meier and the bride's cousin, Carl Foster Jr., all of La Grange.

The ring bearer was Caleb Heath of La Grange.
