Carey-Hardison

Stephanie Nicole Carey of Stonewall and Jay Ryan Hardison of Bayboro were united in marriage on May 16, 2009, at Grace Chapel at River Dunes with the Rev. Scott Fitzgerald and the Rev. Richard Baldwin officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Doug and Amanda Carey of Stonewall and the granddaughter of Lester and Barbara Carey of Stonewall and the late George and Katie Gritz.

The bridegroom is the son of J.E. and Cheryl Hardison of Bayboro and the grandson of Frank and Mary Willis and Eldon and Helen Hardison of Alliance.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Nuptial music was provided by vocalists Tyler Ellenberg, and Jackie and Pam Ireland, and pianist Ann Holton.

The matron of honor was Amber Lancaster of Grantsboro.

Bridesmaids were Savannah Ellenberg, Donna Connell and Carey Smith, all of Stonewall, and Paige Hardison of Alliance.

Aiden and Bailey Smith were the flower girls.

Best man was J.E. Hardison of Bayboro, father of the groom.

Groomsmen were Roy Carey of Stonewall, brother of the bride, Travis Hardison and Tyler Hardison, both of Bayboro and brothers of the groom, and Steve Carey Jr. of Stonewall.

Hunter Dombrowsky was the ring bearer.

Assisting with the wedding was Cynthia Delamar, wedding director.

A reception, hosted by the parents of the bride and groom, was held poolside at River Dunes Harbor Club.

The couple took a honeymoon cruise to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, and Nassau, Bahamas.

The bride graduated from Carteret Community College and is employed by Eastern Carolina Internal Medicine as a radiographer.

The bridegroom graduated from Campbell University and is self-employed.

The couple will reside in Bayboro.
