Alan Hawkins of Kinston announces the engagement of his daughter, Ashley Hawkins of Kinston, to Jeffrey Turnage, son of Carlos and Betty Sanchez, all of Deep Run. The bride-elect also is the daughter of the late Christy W. Hawkins. A July 18 wedding is planned at Westminster United Methodist Church in Kinston.
