Taylor-Hinson

 Jessica Melinda Taylor of Pink Hill and John Leonard Hinson of Kinston were united in marriage at 3 p.m. June 5, 2010, at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church in Kinston. Archie Ratliff, pastor, was the officiating minister.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Greg Taylor of Pink Hill and Janet Smith Taylor of Jacksonville. She is the granddaughter of Nan Blehi of Kinston and Margaret Smith of Pink Hill.

The bride is a graduate student at East Carolina University.

The groom is the son of Leonard Hinson Jr. and Debbie Sawyer Hinson of Kinston. He is the grandson of Anne Hinson of Kinston.

A graduate of ECU, he is an engineer with NAV AIR at Cherry Point.

Following a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach and Charleston, S.C., the couple resides in Kinston.

The bride wore a strapless A-line gown with a beaded sweetheart neckline, draped cross band bodice with scattered beads throughout the chapel-length train. Her one-tier veil was trimmed with matching beads.

She carried a bouquet of purple irises, white daisies and yellow lilies.

Matron of honor was Katie Turner Sowers of Pink Hill.

Maid of honor was Emily Blaire Cooke of Kinston.

Bridesmaids were Kellie Jones of Wilson and Jennifer Coggins of Stokes.

Junior bridesmaids were the bride’s cousins, Kimberly Radford and Tanya Radford, of Richlands.

The groom’s father served as his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Corey Mansfield of Greenville, Ashley Mills of Trenton and David Batemen of Edenton.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Bethel Church Fellowship Hall.
