Brown - Crowe

Latoya Jenine Brown and Azikiwe Moshesh Crowe, both of Chicago, Ill., were united in marriage on Sept. 12, 2009, at the Four Points Sheraton in Schiller Park, Ill.  Elder Ronald E. Smith Sr. of Apostolic Church of God was the officiating minister.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of David and Glenda King of Kinston, and Leroy Brown of Bennettsville, S.C. She is the granddaughter of the late James and Sadie K. Taylor who lived Kinston; and Leroy and Lula Brown of Bennettsville, S.C.

The bride is a graduate of Kinston High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism magna cum laude from Howard University and a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University. She is a marketing director with an aviation consulting firm in Chicago. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

The groom is the son of Larry Crowe of Dayton, Ohio, and Shalewa Crowe of Chicago, Ill.  He is the grandson Glendora Stewart of Chicago, Ill., and the late Willie Stewart; and Helen Crowe of Dayton, Ohio, and the late Frank Crowe. 

A graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, the groom works with a market research firm in Chicago.

Following a wedding trip to Lucea, Jamaica, the couple reside in Chicago.
