Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Brulet

Heather Marie Perry and Benjamin Rhodes Brulet, both of Raleigh, were united in marriage on May 23, 2009, at the Church of the Epiphany in Blowing Rock. Father Joe Mulligan performed the 2 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jimmie Dale and Darlene Marie Perry of Bogue. She is the granddaughter of Edward and Catherine Crosson of Gainsville, Ga.; Jimmie and Helen Perry of Atoka, Okla.; and Theodore Anderson of Queens, N.Y.

The groom is the son of David and Carolyn Brulet of Jacksonville. He is the grandson of Macie Rhodes and Maxine Brulet, both of Jacksonville.

The bride chose her mother as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Darlene Perry of Bogue; Kristina Ochoa of Wilmington; Alice Hall of Savannah, Ga.; Samantha Mills of Jacksonville; and Donna Anderson of Miami, Fla. Flower girls were Skylar Scharer and Summer Scharer.

The groom chose his father as his best man. Groomsmen were David Brulet and Benjamin McGlaughon, both of Jacksonville; Joseph Miraya of Orlando, Fla.; John Perry of Wilmington; and Zach Moore of Surf City.

The wedding reception was held at the Meadowbrook Inn.

The bride graduated from Jacksonville High School and North Carolina State University. She is employed with Chesapeake Energy.

The groom also graduated from Jacksonville High School and North Carolina State University. He is a geologist with Chesapeake Energy.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to New Zealand.

They reside in Oklahoma City, Okla.
