Mr. and Mrs. John McLaughlin
Erika Lauren Ahlmark and John Douglas McLaughlin, both of Jacksonville, were united in marriage on Aug. 8, 2009, at the Jacksonville Country Club. The Rev. Edward Hosier performed the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of James and Karon Ahlmark of Jacksonville. She is the granddaughter of Magdaline Sanderson of Jacksonville and the late Leon Sanderson and Patricia Ahlmark of Jacksonville and the late Pedro “Swede” Ahlmark.
The groom is the son of Michael McLaughlin of Evans, Ga., and Roberta Schlichling of Yuma, Ariz. He is the grandson of John McLaughlin of Titusville, Fla., and the late Barbara McLaughlin and Fredrick and Virginia Houlette of Beaver Falls, Pa.
The bride chose her sister, Kaitlin Ahlmark of Jacksonville, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Edwards, Amanda Osborn and Samantha Edwards, all of Jacksonville. Flower girl was Brianna Ahlmark.
The groom chose his brother, Darren McLaughlin of Jacksonville, as his best man. Groomsmen were David Groom and Cody Haddox, both of Jacksonville; and Rob Ilnicki of Philadelphia, Pa. Ring bearer was Michael Leon Ahlmark.
Candle lighters were Kaitlin Ahlmark and Darren McLaughlin.
The wedding reception was held in the grand ballroom of the country club.
The bride graduated from Jacksonville High School and attended East Carolina University. She will continue her education in South Carolina.
The groom graduated from Jacksonville High School and attended Beaver Falls College. He is an air traffic controller with Myrtle Beach International Airport.
The couple resides in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
