Hill-Allison

Kristin Laura Hill and William Austin Allison III, both of Kinston, were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Oct. 15, 2011, at Westminster United Methodist Church in Kinston. The Rev. T.R. Miller performed the ceremony.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents and son, the bride is the daughter of Gina A. Hill and Craig Hill of Kinston. She is the granddaughter of Ed and Kay Avery, and Mrs. Donnie Hill, all of Kinston.

A graduate of UNC Wilmington, she is a teacher at Banks Elementary School.

The groom is the son of Teresa Allison and William Allison Jr., both of Kinston. He is the grandson of Rose Allison, also of Kinston.

A graduate of Wayne Community College, he is a golf course superintendent with Timberlake Golf Club.

Following a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple resides in La Grange.

The bride wore a strapless ivory slim fitted A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline and corset closure. Known as Adorae, the gown was designed by Maggie Sottero and included ruching from the bodice to below the waist. The train poured into a balloon hem. A beaded band circled the empire waist.

The bride’s sister, Kellan Bryant of Kinston, was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were the groom’s sister, Ashley Jones of Kinston, and Lauren Crossno of Clayton.

The groom’s nieces, Hailey Jones and Kailey Jones of Kinston, were flower girls.

The groom’s father served as his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Matthew Hill of Kinston, the bride’s son; Brandon Jones of Kinston, brother-in-law of the groom; and Michael Wethington of Hugo.

The bride’s brother-in-law, Jason Bryant, and Ryan Ipock, both of Kinston, served as ushers.

Jaden Avery of Kinston, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

Music was provided by organist, Weil Sawyer; and vocalist, Clay Whittington.

The wedding was directed by Ann Robinson.

Register attendants were Jana Hill and Ashlyn Hill. Program attendant was Megan Monroe.

 

Reception/parties

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Select Foods in Kinston.

On June 5, an engagement party was given by the families of the bride and groom at the Hill home in Kinston.

On July 30, a gift card shower was given by the groom’s family at Spilman Memorial Baptist Church in Kinston.

On Sept. 11, a miscellaneous shower was given by the bride’s family at First Original Free Will Baptist Church in Kinston.

On Sept. 18, a home and garden shower was given by family and friends at the Whittington home in Kinston.

Sept. 30-Oct. 2, a bachelorette weekend and lingerie shower was given by friends of the bride in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

On Oct. 5, a miscellaneous shower was given by co-workers of the bride at Banks Elementary School.

Oct. 7-9, a bachelor weekend was given by friends of the groom in Morehead City.

On Oct. 14, a rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s parents at Falling Creek Country Club in Kinston.
