French-Reese

Lauren Elisabeth French of Kinston and Tyler Everett Reese of Kinston, were married at 11 a.m. Aug. 2, 2008, at the N.C. Raleigh Latter-day Saints Temple in Raleigh. President Max K. Stainback was the officiating minister.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Beth Wooten French and Charles Leslie French Jr., both of Kinston. She is the granddaughter of Sarah H. French of Fort Barnwell and the late Charles Leslie French Sr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. William C. Wooten, who lived in Kinston.

The bride is a second-year dental hygiene student at Wayne Community College.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Bruce L. Reese of Kinston. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Finch of Kinston and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil E. Reese, who lived in Kinston.

A freshman at Lenoir Community College, he is employed as an optician at Doctors Vision Center.

Following a wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Kinston.

The bride wore an Italian matte satin gown which flowed into an ornamented cathedral-length train. The softly rounded neckline and cap sleeves were edged with pearls and crystal beading.

The empire bodice was adorned with Schiffli lace, ornate beading and pearls. The wrap-waist was accented with pleats.

Her tiered fingertip-length veil flowed from a pearl and crystal tiara. The veil was edged with bugle beads to match the edging on the gown, and was adorned with starburst clusters.

She carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink Priceless roses and white Eskimo roses, accented with cymbidium orchids.

Meredith Reece Rankin of Provo, Utah, the bride's sister-in-law, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister-in-law, Katie Jensen Reese; Stephanie Claire Meadows and Lindsey Joan Lanier, all of Kinston; Chelsea Smith of Charlotte; Caroline G. Barrow of Greenville; and Lindsay Jo Langston of La Grange.

The groom's father was his son's best man.

Groomsmen were Chadwick F. Reese and Cameron B. Reese of Kinston, the groom's brothers; his brother-in-law, Adam J. Rankin of Provo, Utah; William C.W. French, brother of the bride; and Justin Hill, Courtney M. Killinger and Asher Willis, all of Kinston.

Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was given by the bride and groom's parents at the groom's parents' home in Kinston.
