Bell-Becton

Coleman Leigh Bell and Darren Hugh Becton, both of Kinston, were married at 6 p.m. July 26, 2008, at The Ocean Club in Indian Beach. The Rev. Rick Vernon officiated the ceremony.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Jack and Mary Bell of Kinston. She is the granddaughter of Virginia Perry and Adele Thompson, both of Kinston.

The bride is a graduate of North Carolina State University. She is a teacher for the Lenoir County Public Schools.

The groom is the son of Darrell and Debra Becton of Kinston. He is the grandson of Ramona Smith and Delilah Becton, both of Kinston.

The groom is a graduate of East Carolina University. He is employed with Anderson Truss Company as a designer.

Following a wedding trip to Aventura Spa Palace in Mexico, the couple resides in Kinston.

Stacy Rayner of Winterville was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kara Pelletier of Raleigh; Nikki Sasser and Mary Lynn Sanderson, both of Greenville; and the bride's niece, Taylor Cade of Kinston.

Flower girls were the bride's niece, Lonna Harbertson of Fuquay-Varina; and the bride's cousins, Emily Gray and Jesse Gray, both of Emerald Isle.

Dustin Becton of Kinston, the groom's brother, was best man. Groomsmen were the groom's cousin, Brian Smith of Kinston; Taylor Howard and Jonas Howard, both of Grifton; and the bride's nephew, Dylan Cade of Kinston.

Ring bearer was Bryce Harbertson of Fuquay-Varina, the bride's nephew.

Reception/parties

Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was given by the bride's parents at The Ocean Club in Indian Beach.

On Dec. 9, a Christmas shower was given by family and friends.

On May 2, a honey-do shower and party was given by family and friends.

On June 29, a gift card shower was given by family and friends.

On July 10, a bridal shower was given by friends.

On July 25, a rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents at The Ocean Club in Indian Beach.
