Katherine Dae Murray of Dover and Joseph Wayne Lee of Willow Spring were united in marriage on June 12, 2010, on the lawn at the Hilton New Bern/Riverfront with the Rev. Ronnie Taylor officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Johnny and Teresa Murray of Dover and the granddaughter of the late Billy C. and Anita White and the late James D. and Lucille Murray.
The bridegroom is the son of Jeff and Kim Lee of Willow Spring and Jeff and Karen Stewart of Raleigh and the grandson of Mary Wolgemuth of Raleigh and Joe Lee of Linden.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Nuptial music was provided by harpist Marilyn Wienand and violinist Angela Jovanovich.
The matron of honor was Laura Williams of Kinston, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Amy Russell of Nashville, Tenn., Marisha Williams of Luray, Va., Christie Lee of Raleigh, sister of the groom, and Melanie Whitley of Smithfield, sister of the groom.
Abby Johnson was the flower girl.
Best man was Jeff Lee of Willow Spring, father of the groom.
Groomsmen were Eric Johnson of Chapel Hill, Will Blizzard of Pink Hill, Vince Banicki of New Bern, and Matt Whitley of Smithfield, brother-in-law of the groom.
Ashton Williams was the ring bearer.
Assisting with the wedding were Gracie Jones, Leah Smolski, Jennifer Jones and Gavin Williams, register/program attendant, nephew of the bride.
A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held in the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton New Bern/Riverfront.
Assisting with the reception were greeters Dan and Leslie White and Steve and Kathy White of South Carolina.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Nassau, Bahamas.
The bride graduated from West Craven High School and Barton College and is employed by NCDJJDP as a juvenile court counselor.
The bridegroom graduated from West Johnston High School and Lenoir Community College and is employed by the City of Havelock as a firefighter and EMT-I.
They plan to live in Dover.
