Katherine Lee Brightman of Orlando, Fla., and Richard Eugene Loveless Jr., of Yorktown, Va., were united in marriage on Nov. 14, 2009, at the Memorial Chapel aboard MCAS New River. Carlton Bradshaw performed the 3 p.m. ceremony. Music was provided by organist, Robert Unger; vocalist, Raleigh Boychoir and trumpeter, Michael Loveless the groom’s brother.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gordon Brightman of Orlando, Fla.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Eugene Loveless of Yorktown, Va. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Agee of Yorktown, Va.
The bride was attended by maid on honor Jessica Peck of Altamonte Springs, Fla. Bridesmaids were Diana Bell-Kite of Raleigh, and Amy Loveless Doye the groom’s sister, of Yorktown, Va.
The groom chose Edwin Santana of Newport News, Va., as his best man. Groomsmen were Bill Woolfolk of Jacksonville and Matt Lunau of Virginia Beach, Va.
The wedding reception was held at the MCAS New River Officers’ Club.
The bride graduated from Edgewater High School, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University. She is curator of interpretation at Tryon Palace Historic Sites and Gardens.
The groom graduated from York High School. Mount Olive College and is currently attending Methodist University. He is employed as a civilian canine officer with the provost marshall’s office aboard Camp Lejeune.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and took a Caribbean cruise.
They reside in Jacksonville.
