Faulkner-Milligan

Angela Annisse Faulkner of La Grange and Shaun Lewis Milligan of Kinston were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Sept. 26, 2009, in an outdoor wedding by the lake in Hillcrest at the home of Drs. Tobine and Michelle Finizio. The Rev. Willis Pearson of First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Kinston performed the ceremony.

Escorted and given in marriage by her future father-in-law, Harl Milligan, the bride is the daughter of the late Brenda Joyce Faulkner and Redden Harvey Faulkner, who lived in Kinston.

She is the granddaughter of the late Helen Kennon and Clifton Kennon, who lived in Petersburg, Va.

A graduate of South Lenoir High School and Lenoir Community College, she is a nanny for Drs. Tobin and Michelle Finizio.

The groom is the son of Jacqueline Ellen Milligan and Harl Lewis Milligan of Kinston.

He is the grandson of the late Pauline Milligan, who lived in Elgin, Ill.; and the late Vernal Milligan, who lived in Shawnee Town, Ill.

A graduate of Larkin High School in Elgin, Ill., he is self employed.

Following a wedding trip to Pine Knoll Shores, the couple resides in Kinston.

The bride wore an ivory and platinum A-line gown of French taffeta and tulle with sheer short sleeves. The bodice that was embellished with embroidery and beading had a pleated overlay cinched at the waist and accented with additional beading and embroidery. It flowed into a semi-cathedral length train. Her two-tiered veil was enhanced with pearls and crystals and trimmed with satin. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses.

The bride’s niece, Dana Hope Milligan of Walstonburg, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Tammie Jo Outlaw of Kinston; the groom’s daughter, Stephanie Lynn Milligan of Kinston; and the bride’s sister, Nancy Pearl Crumbacker of Kinston.

Noelani Hackett of La Grange was flower girl.

The groom’s son, Kyle Lewis Milligan of Durham, was best man.

Groomsmen were the groom’s brothers, Curt Milligan of Elgin, Ill., and Leon Milligan of Grayville, Ill.; and Michael Butts of Kinston.

The bride and groom’s God son, Adonis Hackett of La Grange, was ring bearer.

Vocalist was Errett Marshburn.

The wedding was directed by Jordan and Michelle Finizio.

Program attendants were Jordan and Madison Finizio.

Technical assistants were Michael, Toby and Tobin Finizio.

Tracie Marshburn assisted with the décor.

As a special gift to the couple, BJ Stanley provided photography services.

Reception/parties

Following the ceremony, a reception was given by Drs. Michelle and Tobin Finizio at their home in Hillcrest. Rachael and Jenny Delaney were cake servers.

On Aug. 15, a wedding shower was given by B. J. Stanley, Sonda Boles, Renee Banks, Geraldine and Felton Eubanks, Laura Cannon, Nicole Suggs, Yvonne Jones, Gail Cole and Janice Jones at First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

On Sept. 1, a bachelorette party was given by Jo Ella Wooten, Bobbie Jo Tyndall, Tammy Goodman and Jennifer Mills at Tammy’s Tangles & Toes Salon.

A post rehearsal dinner and get together was given by the groom’s parents at El Norteno Restaurant.
