Mr. and Mrs. Matthew McDonald

Ashley Page Riggs and Matthew Ryan McDonald, both of Jacksonville were united in marriage on July 18, 2009, at Blue Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Jay Jones performed the 4 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Riggs, all of Jacksonville.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Warren McDonald of Fayetteville.

The bride was attended by matron of honor Melissa Evans, the bride’s sister of Jacksonville. Bridesmaids were Brittany Lankford of Wilmington; Lisa Metzger of Victorville, Calif.; and Gina Kirk of Trenton. Junior bridesmaids were the bride’s sisters, Kimberly Riggs of Jacksonville and Courtney Davis of Maysville. Flower girl was Breanna Turner.

The groom chose his brother, Jeffrey McDonald of Fayetteville as his best man. Groomsmen were Ezekiel Lewis of Jacksonville; Benji Berubie of Raleigh; and Rick McAfee of Fayetteville. Ring bearer was Jacob Evans.

The wedding reception was held at Jacksonville Country Club.

The bride graduated from White Oak High School and attended Coastal Carolina Community College. She is a chiropractic assistant with Schilsky Chiropractic Center.

The groom graduated from White Oak High School and is a student at Coastal Carolina Community College. He is a salesman.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica.

They reside in Jacksonville.
