Lynn and Margaret Cahoon of New Bern announce the engagement of their daughter, Marcie Lynn Cahoon of New Bern, to Dane Salathiel Eubanks of Grimesland.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Patrick Burdett of Trenton and Wanda Eubanks of New Bern.

The bride-elect graduated from East Carolina University and is employed by Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

The bridegroom-elect graduated from East Carolina University and is employed by NACCO Materials Handling Group.

A wedding is planned for Aug. 8, 2009, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, New Bern.
