Owen-Giacobbe

Jennifer Owen and Steven Giacobbe, both of Louisville, Ky., were united in marriage on July 19, 2008, at Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, Fla., with the Rev. Jason McKinney officiating.

The bride is the daughter of L. G. Owen and Patricia Owen of Louisville, Ky.

The bridegroom is the son of Sandy and Waldeane Giacobbe of New Bern and the grandson of the late Walter and Helen Schwer and the late Joseph and Rachel Giacobbe.

Nuptial music was provided by a harpist.

Lila McGuirk, daughter of the bride, was the flower girl

Owen McGuirk, son of the bride, was the ringbearer.

A reception, hosted by the bride and groom, was held at Gaylord Palms Resort, Kissimmee, Fla.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Aspen, Colorado.

The bride graduated from Fort Lewis College (Colo.) and Bellarmine University in Louisville, Ky., and is employed by Lafayette Enterprises as a property manager.

The bridegroom graduated from UNC Greensboro and Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va., and is employed by Commonweatlh Bank and Trust Co. as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer.They plan to live in Louisville, Ky.
