Young-Lyons

Andrea Nicole Young and Charles Scott Lyons, both of Raleigh, were united in marriage on May 30, 2009, at St. Mary's F.W.B. Church with the Rev. Craig Simmons officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Danny and Anna Young of New Bern and the granddaughter of the late Russell and Macel Holmes and the late John and Kathleen Young.

The bridegroom is the son of Scott and Joyce Lyons of Durham and the grandson of the late Otis and Martha Cooke and the late Charles and Sallie Lyons.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

Nuptial music was provided by vocalists Holly Everington, Angela Stilley and Keith Cayton, flutist Ann Courtney and violinist Amy Doan.

The matron of honor was Pam Cuthrell Erwin of Raleigh.

Bridesmaids were Bonnie Avery Arciniegas of Raleigh, Melissa Briscoe of Charleston, W.Va., Carrie Rogers Garrity, Staci Hester and Lisa Clossey Jordan, all of Raleigh.

Jordyn Hall, Baylee Jones, Kasey Jones and Bailey Merriman were the flower girls.

Best man was Scott Lyons of Durham, father of the groom.

Groomsmen were Andrew Cesario of Corona, Calif., Robert Crawford of Chapel Hill, Michael Jordan of Raleigh, Zachary O'Rourke of Wilmington, Eric Royle of Raleigh, Andrew Scism of San Diego, Calif., and Patrick Watson of Raleigh.

Ushers were Daniel Hall, Alan Schlitz and Chase Schlitz, all of Raleigh, and Jason Young of Goldsboro.

Garrett Hall was the ring bearer.

Assisting with the wedding was Heather Young.

A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, was held at the New Bern Golf and Country Club.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia.

The bride graduated with her Masters from East Carolina University and is employed by Wake County Schools as a media specialist.

The bridegroom graduated from East Carolina University and is employed by Smith and Nephew Orthopedic, Inc., as a medical sales representative.

The couple will reside in Raleigh.
