Robin Jones - Gareth McDaniel

 Robin Lynn Jones of Vanceboro and Gareth McDaniel of Cove City were united in marriage March 22, 2008, at the Union Point Park Gazebo, New Bern, with the Rev. Connie Stutts officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Mary Ellen Jones of Vanceboro and the granddaughter of William and Sudie Morton of Mount Olive. The bridegroom is the son of Gary McDaniel and Patricia McDaniel of Cove City and the grandson of William "Bill" McDaniel of Cove City.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother.

Maid of honor was Amanda French of Vanceboro, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Bridget Wells of Mount Olive, Ashley Miller of New Bern, Lindsay Jarman of New Bern and Autum French. Mary Kathryn Wells was the flower girl.

The best man was Gary McDaniel of Cove City. Groomsmen were Danny White of Cove City, Joey Mares of New Bern and Justin Sawyer of New Bern. The best man and groomsmen also served as ushers.

Assisting with the wedding were Emily Haddock and Betty Hughes.

A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, was held at the Knights of Columbus in New Bern. Assisting with the reception were Emily Haddock, Tamara Jones and Lorie Smith.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

The bride graduated from West Craven High School and is employed by Body Bliss Salon as a nail technician. The bridegroom graduated from West Craven High School and is employed by the New Bern Fire Department as a fire specialist.

They plan to live in Vanceboro.
