Spencer and Oralia Rummage of Albemarle announce the engagement of their daughter, Tina Reneé Rummage of Albemarle, to Leo Simon Mitchell of New Bern.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Leo Mitchell Sr. and Jeannie Shepard of New Bern.

The bride-elect graduated from Catawba College and is employed by Actavis Pharmaceuticals.

The bridegroom-elect graduated from Catawba College and is employed by Mecklenburg County Government.

A wedding is planned for Oct. 10, 2009, at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church.
