No matches found.Sheriff needs help confirming lead suspect in murder of La Grange Bojangles manager
LA GRANGE — The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office needs help from the public to identify the lead suspect in the shooting death of the manager of the La Grange Bojangles’.
Maj. Chris Hill released footage Thursday, captured from a video surveillance camera at a business in close proximity to the Bojangles’ restaurant.
Investigators believe the person in the video, driving a Mazda 626, killed Ken Leefe at 11:29 p.m. on June 24. Leefe was the Bojangles’ manager in the Little Baltimore area of La Grange. The vehicle is black or a very dark color and made between 2000 and 2003.
Lenoir County deputies found Leefe in the eatery’s parking lot late at 11:45 p.m. June 24 slumped over the wheel of his green 1998 Mercury Sable LS, dead minutes before his 56th birthday.
The only business neighboring the Bojangles’ restaurant that has a surveillance camera outside its store is the Hasty Mart across U.S. 70. Hasty Mart owner Sam Youseff said investigators downloaded some footage from his system.
Hill reminded the public that the vehicle could have been loaned or borrowed vehicle.
