Free concert
Lady D will perform at Jacksonville Seventh-day Aventist Church in Jacksonville tonight.
A love offering will be collected and refreshments will be provided after the concert. Lady D will have CDs available for purchase after the concert.
The show will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the church, located at 270 Court Street.
Equine Forage Clinic
Pender County Cooperative Extension Service will hold an area forage clinic to address problems related to forage selection, pasture establishment, weed management, and pasture management today.
The event will take place at White Horse Farm, off Saps Road in Hampstead, located at from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Speakers for these topics will include North Carolina State University Extension Horse Specialist Bob Mowery and Mike Yoder. The rain date is March 27.
Angel Food orders accepted
Topsail Baptist Church will accept Angel Food Ministry orders Sunday from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Standard boxes include 17 items for $30.
Those interested can order online at www.angelfoodministries.com with a credit or debit card. Cash and food stamp orders can be taken at Topsail Baptist Church, located at 18885 U.S. 17 in Hampstead.
Self awareness seminar
Golden Tiger Taekwondo and the S.E.E.D. Program (Self-Enhancement, Enrichment for Difference) will hold a free seminar for women today in New Bern from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The event will be held at Wanda Kay’s School of Dance, located at 801 Cardinal Road in New Bern.
A light breakfast and lunch will be served.
