Mrs. James Strope
Laurie Ann Lanvermeier and James Patrick Strope, both of Jacksonville, were united in marriage on Nov. 19, 2011, at Tar Landing Baptist Church. The Rev. Jack Marshburn performed the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Paula McElheney Lanvermeier and George Lanvermeier Jr., both of Jacksonville.
The groom is the son of Ellen Bettinazzi of Martins Ferry, Ohio, and Ron Strope of Moundsville, W.Va.
The bride was attended by matron of honor Sherri Williams of Jacksonville. Bridesmaids were Gina Wagner of Wendell and Susi Price of Jacksonville. Junior bridesmaids were Caroline Williams and Grace Williams, both of Jacksonville. Flower girl was Reagan Strope.
The groom chose his father as his best man. Groomsmen were Bobby Deal of Jacksonville and Wesley Goddard of Beaver, W.Va. Ring bearer was Jason Strope.
The wedding reception was also held at Tar Landing Baptist Church.
The bride and groom are both employed with Onslow County Schools.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Asheville.
They reside in Jacksonville.
