JPD: Gaming tables seized in raid

A Jacksonville man has been charged with having gambling tables after police say they raided a Henderson Drive business early Monday morning.

Ryan Joseph McGuire, 31, of Mulberry Lane, was charged by the Jacksonville Police Department with two counts of keeping gaming tables, possession of marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $3,000.

"Based upon reports from the public and the results of an on-going undercover investigation, detectives from the Special Operations Division of the Jacksonville Police Department executed a search warrant at 11:07 a.m. today at Minutes to Win It, located at 357 Henderson Drive," JPD spokeswoman Beth Purcell said in a news release.

Several gaming machines and cash were seized from the business, she said, adding that the case is still under investigation and more arrests were expected.
