Wiley-Taylor
Ashley Dawn Wiley of Deep Run and Fred Thomas Taylor Jr. of Kinston were united in marriage at 2 p.m. May 2, 2009, at Sandy Bottom Baptist Church in Moss Hill. The Rev. H.T. Waits officiated the ceremony.
Escorted by her son, Maddox Wiley, and given in marriage by her family, the bride is the daughter of Roger and Tammie Clements of Deep Run, and Norwood Ray Wiley. She is the granddaughter of Edna Bowen of Kinston and Marjorie Albritton of Snow Hill.
A graduate of South Lenoir High School, she is a supervisor with Hope Physicians.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thomas Taylor Sr. of Kinston. He is the grandson of Helen Haney of Ohio.
A graduate of South Lenoir, he is employed with the North Carolina Department of Corrections at Eastern Correctional Center.
After a wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Kinston.
The bride wore a satin A-line gown with a side draped bodice and asymmetrical skirt, along with a tiara adorned with diamonds. She carried a bouquet of Gerber daisies.
Matron of honor was the bride's sister, Kim Jackson of Grifton.
Bridesmaids were the groom's sisters, Jennifer Archer of Virginia and Amanda Jacobs of Kinston; Natalie Ervin of Wilmington; and the bride's cousin, Jamie Sasnett of Kinston. Blythe Jackson, the bride's niece, was the miniature bride.
Emily Jacobs and Jordan Sasnett of Kinston, the bride's nieces, were flower girls.
The groom's father was his son's best man.
Groomsmen were the groom's brothers-in-law, Mitch Archer of Virginia and Patrick Jacobs of Kinston; the bride's cousin, Christopher Daughety of Kinston; and Billy Harris of Kinston.
The bride's son also was miniature groom. Her nephew, Corbin Jackson of Grifton, was ring bearer.
Following the ceremony, a reception was given by family and friends at Harmony Hall.
