Robert and Angela Adams of Cove City announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Meredith Adams of Swansboro, to Vernon Ashley Walton of Emerald Isle, son of Lewis Walton of Jacksonville and Vicki Rogers of Prescott, Ariz. A Sept. 13 wedding is planned at the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City.
