Jennifer Lynn Simpson and Stephen Derrick Ward Jr., both of Maysville, were married at 6 p.m. Sept. 6, 2008, at Quaker Neck Country Club in Trenton. The Rev. Bud Morton officiated the ceremony.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Allan Wayne Simpson and Judy S. Simpson of Maysville.

The groom is the son of Stephen Derrick Ward Sr. and Shelia Glenn Ward of Trenton. He is the grandson of Clifton and Betty Huggins and J.B. and Betty Langley, all of Kinston, and Doug and Ann Ward of Pollocksville.

Matron of honor was Kristie Jackson of New Bern. The groom's father served as his son's best man.

The couple resides in Maysville.
