Whyne, Huxley

Lindsay Morris Huxley of Raleigh, and Eric Jonathan Whyne of Ashland, Pa., were united in marriage on Oct. 3, 2009, at North Raleigh Methodist Church in Raleigh. The Rev. David S. Clift performed the 4:30 p.m. ceremony. The wedding was directed by Polly Smith. Music was provided by pianist, Karen Reardon and vocalist, Kathy Bolch.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith I. Huxley Jr. of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William S. Morris of Jacksonville and Mr. and Mrs. Keith I. Huxley Sr. of Morristown, Tenn.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard S. Whyne of Ashland, Pa. He is the grandson of Mrs. Judy Touchinsky of Frackville, Pa.

The rehearsal dinner was held at Bogarts American Grill in Raleigh.

The bride was attended by maid of honor Kathryn Henderson of Elizabeth City. Bridesmaids were Brooke Roberson, Kimberly Boness, Kristin Gurganus, all of Raleigh; Katie Ipock of Wilmington; Margaret Smith of Virginia Beach, Va.; Jean Smith of Suffolk, Va.; Heather Huxley of Charlotte; Jennifer Whyne of Gordon, Pa.; and Jennifer Ilich of Wake Forest. Flower girls were Madison Stunda and Carly Stunda.

The groom chose Johnny Towey of Ashland, Pa., as his best man. Groomsmen were Huck Huxley of Charlotte; Bill Whyne of Gordon, Pa.; Bob Pelletier of Columbia, Md.; Billy Poggi of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; Joshua Bourne of Sneads Ferry; Cory Morris of Gulfport, Miss.; Michael Whyne of Ladson, S.C.; and Matthew Quinn of Reston, Va. Ring bearer was Scotty Whyne.

Reader was Kelly I. Stunda. Register attendant was Jennifer Whyne and program attendants were Autumn Quinn and Desirae Deitterick.

The wedding reception was held at Wakefield Plantation in Raleigh.

The bride graduated from Wake Forest High School and East Carolina University. She is a recruiting administrator with Booz, Allen and Hamilton in McLean, Va.

The groom graduated from North Schuylkill High School in Ashland, Pa., and Norwich University in Northfield, Vt. He is a research engineer with Penn State.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Asheville.

They reside in Sterling, Va.
