Pamela Barber of New Bern and David Barber of Pink Hill announce the engagement of their daughter, April Nicole Barber, of New Bern to William Raymond Staples of New Bern. The bridegroom-elect is the son of William C. and Charlene Staples of Rodards, Ky.
The bride-elect attends Craven Community College and is employed by Craven County Schools.
The bridegroom-elect graduated from Henderson County High School and is employed by Fastenal Company.
A wedding is planned for June 7, 2008, on the lawn of the Pavilion at Carolina Colours, New Bern.
