A Jacksonville man has been accused of a Monday robbery of an area Circle K store, authorities said.
Calvin Morgan, 31, of Starling Street, was charged Wednesday by the Jacksonville Police Department with one count of armed robbery and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, according to a press release from the department.
Morgan was previously convicted of possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and second-degree trespassing in 1996; selling a malt beverage to someone under 21 years old in 1997; contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and trespassing in 1998; selling a Schedule VI controlled substance in 2000; first-degree trespassing, driving with a revoked license, escaping prison and assault on a female in 2001; receiving a stolen vehicle and possession of stolen goods in 2002; and possession with the intent to sell a Schedule II controlled substance and second-degree trespassing in 2003, according to the N.C. Department of Correction.
Bond was set at $50,000.
