Slight drop locally, nationally

Gas prices have taken another slight dip locally and nationally as the week begins.

The national average is down almost a nickel to $2.45 per gallon of unleaded. A week ago, the average was $2.49.

The average has come down from $2.57 a month ago and $3.45 a year ago.

North Carolina's average price is $2.33, which is in line with most stations in the New Bern-River Bend-Bridgeton-James City area.
