The Greene County Sheriff's Department has charged an Ayden man with two counts of rape.

According to an arrest report generated by the GCSO, Tamarcus Jubane Suggs, 25, of 57 Deborah Drive, Ayden, was charged with one count of felony rape and one count of felony statutory rape of a 13 to 15 year-old.

Detective V. Mills of the GCSO said the alleged victim of the felony rape is an 11-year-old female.

According to Mills, Tamarcus Suggs is the nephew of Lorenza Suggs Sr., 57, who was charged with felony statutory sexual offense of a 14-year-old on Mar. 30., and the cousin of Lorenza Suggs Jr., 34, who was charged with felony statutory rape of a 14-year-old on Mar. 30.

Mills said the alleged victim of the statutory rape in this case was a 14-year-old female.

"This is the same 14-year-old that was involved in the Lorenza Suggs Sr./Jr. case," Mills said.

Mills stated that Suggs turned himself in on Monday, and is currently being held in the Greene County Jail under a $150,000 bond.

According to the North Carolina Department of Correction web site, Tamarcus Suggs was convicted in September of assault on a female and sentenced to 18 months probation.
