Arrest made in connection with abandoned body

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Authorities say a North Carolina man accused of dumping the body of a former roommate along Interstate 64 in April has been arrested.

The Carteret County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina says 39-year-old Erick Deickman was arrested in Bardstown, Ky., on Wednesday afternoon, WSAZ-TV reported.

The Cabell County Sheriff's Office issued an arrest warrant in June for Deickman, a resident of Morehead City, N.C. Sheriff Tom McComas said at the time Deickman was wanted for felony concealment of a body, but declined to say whether he was a suspect in the death of Andrew Mulvany of Carteret County, N.C.

Mulvany's body was found in a sealed, industrial-sized garbage can in April. State medical examiners concluded the man's death was a homicide.
