Authorities have charged a Morehead City man in connection with a January breaking and entering, as well as the teen who reported the crime.
Corey Thomas Holley, 19, of Guardian Avenue, was charged by the Emerald Isle Police Department with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen property, injury to real property and injury to personal property.
Holley is accused of breaking into a Page Place residence in Emerald Isle Jan. 28 through a downstairs window, breaking televisions and other property, cutting the upholstery on couches and chairs with a knife, and stealing alcohol and DVDs, according to a press release from the Emerald Isle Police Department.
Tyler Allan Sturdevant, 17, of Page Place, who resides at the residence Holley is accused of breaking and entering, was charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bonds totaled $2,000 for Holley. Sturdevant was charged on a criminal summons and released.
