Condominium fire contained

The Pine Knoll Shores fire department arrived at the scene of a fire at Reefstone Condos on Wednesday at 1:48 p.m.
"There was a room and contents fire in Unit 19 in the kitchen - Indian Beach and Atlantic Beach (fire departments) assisted, and we had the fire contained and extinguished within five minutes of being at the scene," said Paul Shelley, the captain of Pine Knoll Shores Fire Department.
Shelley said there was smoke damage to the entire residence, water damage to the first floor and about 50 percent of the kitchen was destroyed.
    No other residences were damaged.
"There were no injuries - no one was home," Shelley said.
Shelley said that the cause of the fire is undetermined at this point.
