Incident reports

The following incidents were reported by the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office and the Kinston Department of Public Safety:

On July 5, a woman on Hazel Hill Road, Kinston, reported someone stole a farm/garden implement and implements valued at $1,000.

On July 5, a woman on Tilghman Mill Road, Kinston, reported someone broke into her residence and stole the following: A Nikon Coolpix camera valued at $180, a Compaq lap-top computer valued at $800, currency totaling $20, a Marllin .22 rifle with scope valued at $2,000, and assorted jewelry valued at $20.

On July 4, a man on Skeeter Pond Road, Grifton, reported someone spray-painted four mailboxes. Damages were estimated at $100.

On July 3, a woman in the area of Skeeter Pond Road, Grifton, reported the following iwere damaged by graffiti: Damages to two single occupancy dwellings were estimated at $4,000, damages to a Toyota Corola were estimated at $1,000, damages to a business sign were estimated at $50, damages to a mailbox were estimated at $25, damages to an automobile were estimated at $8,000, damages to a Chevrolet automobile were estimated at $1,000, damages to a Chevrolet Blazer were estimated at $1,000, and damages to a mailbox were estimated at $25.

On July 3, a man on Sean Drive, La Grange, reported the following stolen: A marine radio valued at $125, and fishing rods/reels valued at $125.

On July 2, a man on Institute Road, La Grange, reported someone threatened to kill him.

On July 2, an employee of A&L Bodyshop on US 258 North, Kinston, reported someone entered their storage lot by cutting a fence and stole the following: Vehicle tires, fenders, bumpers and a hood valued at $3,000. Damages to a fence were estimated at $300. The stolen hood has been recovered.

On July 2, a woman on Salty Hill Road, Deep Run, reported someone broke into her residence. Damages were estimated at $200.

On July 2, an employee of Ed Phillips, Inc., reported the following stolen: A scissor lift valued at $4,000. The incident occurred on Highland Avenue, Kinston.

On July 2, a man reported the following stolen from his vehicle: A radio valued at $50. Damages to the vehicle were estimated at $250. The incident occurred on Dobbs Farm Road, Kinston.

On July 4, a man on Lenoir Street, Kinston, reported the following items stolen from a storage building: A dark green self-propelled lawn mower valued at $260, and a white propane gas tank valued at $15. Damages to a door were estimated at $5.
