Missing man found

Sun Journal Staff

A man who was reported as missing from New Bern last Friday was found in Beaufort County on Tuesday morning.

Police said Stan Safranski, 33, had been missing from the Good Shepherd Home for the Aged since 8:30 p.m. Friday. A Silver Alert was issued for him.

New Bern police said he was located by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday. Arrangements have been made for his transport back to the Good Shepherd living facility. He was in good health when he was found.

In March, Safranski, who has a history of walking away from the home, was found in Washington, N.C., following a similar incident.
