The Crusaders travel and compete throughout the country through Drum Corps International, regarded as the "major leagues" of drum and bugle corps. The members will be stopping in Havelock between performances in Virginia and Georgia.
Band members are expected to practice and work with Havelock High band members on tips and techniques before taking the field Wednesday evening for a demonstration.
According to its Web site, the Boston Crusaders are the third oldest drum and bugle corps in the United States, having formed in 1940. The band has been a DCI World Championship finalist for the last nine years.
