Jacksonville High crosses the stage

The Jacksonville High School Class of 2009 was noticeably nervous and excited as it prepared to cross the stage Friday night. Jacksonville Principal Susie Barrett expressed pride and confi dence in the 315 graduates, who among them earned $1.5 million in scholarships. "This graduating class has the ability to make a positive impact on the world," she said. "I wish them only the best, and I love them."
The graduates dedicated a special song titled "Wanting Memories" to their parents, friends and teachers during the commencement ceremony, and Ariel Coady was recognized for having perfect attendance from kindergarten through her senior year.
